Sign up and follow the Wix instructions to select your website template.
When you've selected your website template, it will open in the WIX editor with an explainer video so you know how to get started.
Look to the left-hand side of your screen and click on "Add Apps."
Wix's App Store will open/expand and you will see this screen:
Use the search bar and type: Futurestay.
Click enter on your keyboard to get the search result.
Click the blue "Add" button.
A confirmation window will pop-up asking you to confirm that you want to add Futurestay to your Wix website. Click "Allow and Install."
You will now be back in your Wix editor. The Futurestay booking engine has been added to your website. A free Futurestay account has been created and your temporary password has been emailed to you.
On Wix, the view that you currently see is a sample booking engine. It is not live.
To customize your booking engine, double click the sample booking engine visual.
Your Futurestay editor will open for you to start customizing your booking engine.
This window allows you to stay within your WIX website editor and customize your booking engine.
The first section named, "Account Settings" allows you to set your booking engine's currency, language, and title. The second section is to customize the look of your booking engine.
Select your changes and click save to see them apply to your website.
Now that you've customized your Booking Engine, click the blue "Import Properties" button at the top of your Futurestay editor. This button will take you to your free Futurestay Dashboard.
Log in to Futurestay using your Wix account email and temporary password (that was emailed to you).
To power your booking engine, you need to complete your 4-step Getting Started Checklist in Futurestay. That way your availability and properties are synced in real-time to accept direct website bookings.
